The accommodation offers up to four berths. In the forecabin, two single berths are used for stowage, but if fitted with cushions would give two more berths. Opening hatch to foredeck. Construction

Built in 1960 to a design by Alan Buchanan. White painted mahogany planked hull. Canadian Rock Elm/Oak frames. Copper fastened. Varnished toe rail. Teak laid deck with varnished mahogany coamings. Long keel with cast iron ballast. Keel hung rudder. Tiller steering. Aft self draining cockpit.

Available with a two year warranty and part exchanges considered. The boat is currently not fitted with an engine as you will be able to choose between the Mercury V8 Verado 250HP or 300HP options. The current asking price reflects the boat being fitted with the 250HP option.

Accommodations

The Quicksilver Activ 755 Weekend accommodation is attractively finished with stylish touches and offers up to 4 berths. In the bow, there is an island double berth, easily accessed beneath berth stowage and a opening hatch to foredeck. The mid cabin is to port with a small double berth that would accommodate a single adult or two children and runs beneath the wheelhouse sole. The separate heads compartment is opposite to starboard with a marine toilet and washbasin.

Moving up to the saloon, which has a modern and spacious feel and is fitted with an adjustable helm seat to starboard, which offers excellent all-round visibility. Aft of the helm is a linear galley equipped with 1-burner gas hob, fridge, sink with cutting board, and storage. To port is an adjustable position forward facing navigator's bench seat for two which reverses to increase seating around the dining table, and can convert to form another single berth.

Ample natural light and ventilation are provided by a large sliding sunroof and opening side windows. Moving aft through some sliding patio doors in to the aft cockpit that features an adaptable layout with a large sliding bench seat, allowing either the bathing platform or cockpit to be increased in size when required or dropped down to create a large sunpad. A cockpit table is also included.

Engines

This boat can be supplied with a choice of Mercury 250HP or Mercury 300HP single outboard engine. Both these engines are the larger V8 options which give much greater fuel economy at cruising speeds.

Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Digital single lever engine controls with power trim/tilt, and electric start. Wheel steering. Mercury Smart Gauge rev counter and speedometer with multi-function LCD displays for engine information including fuel and temperature & Mercury Vessel view. The engine will come with a standard warranty.

INTERIOR: 19 POSSIBLE LAYOUTS!

The JEANNEAU YACHTS 60 can be split into four living areas, each offering multiple options: the forepeak, the forward cabins, the salon with the forward galley, and the aft cabins.

The forepeak: three versions are possible, with a large sail locker, a skipper cabin, or a sixth cabin.

Next, two versions of the forward area are possible: an owners? cabin or two cabins, each with a double berth. The bulkhead that divides the two forward cabins can be slid forward into a dedicated storage space creating one open space. Then one berth can be transformed into a sofa, creating a suite on demand.

Three possible layouts are available for the starboard side of the salon: a version with a sofa and adjacent chart table, a lateral twin bunk cabin, or an ?open plan? version that could accommodate two free-standing armchairs.

Finally, the aft living area can be configured as either an owner?s cabin or as two cabins, featuring one double berth on starboard, and a twin bunk to port.

Interior woodwork can be in teak or light oak plus numerous choices of fabrics to owner choice.

Standard equipment includes: Bottle storage under saloon sole, luxury shades to hull ports in saloon, electric fresh water flush toilets, Fusion sound system with 4 salon speakers and two cockpit speakers, galley equipment includes a 3 burner cooker with grill and oven, fridge and 144l freezer and microwave oven.

Spars & Sails

Fractional Bermudan sloop rig. The standard anodised rig is with a furling mainsail and self tacking jib, 25.1m tall. There are options available to go slab reefing on the standard mast with a canoe boom (park avenue), performance mast, 26.7m with overlapping headsail or even a full 28.3m white painted carbon rig.

Headsail furling is electric and there is a choice of the mainsheet going to an arch or cockpit sole. Harken winches throughout with two standard electric rewind winches.

Dacron sails are standard with options to go to ProRadial sails and the Carbon rig is available with Performance racing sails.

Mechanical Systems

The standard engine is a YANMAR 110HP LA 4JH100CR 81KW with shaft drive with a fixed three blade propeller and manual single lever control.

The optional YANMAR 150HP LA 4LV150CR 110KW also has a shaft drive with a three blade Flexofold folding propeller and electronic engine controls.

Both engine choices have electronic interface with the Raymarine instruments.

Bowthruster is standard and there is an option for a fold down stern thruster.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to four berths in a traditional layout. Standing heading in the companionway, which then reduces as your move forward.

Up forward in the forepeak, there are two pipecot berths either side of the Baby Blake marine toilet, that is forward and to centre. Access to the chain locker. Moving aft into the saloon, there are two single settee berths with trotter boxes, either side of a fixed double drop leaf table. Again, plenty of storage around the saloon.

In the starboard quarter, there is the chart table with instruments and the control panel. Handy hanging located located next to it. Opposite to port is the L shaped galley with a Plastimo 2 burner gas hob with oven and grill. Single stainless steel sink with a manually pumped cold water supply.

Located abaft companionway is the offset Perkins Perama 25, 25hp three-cylinder marine diesel engine (1991). Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to three-bladed propeller. Construction

Rose of Arden was designed by Harrison Butler and built in 1938 by Whisstocks of Woodbridge of Carvel construction with pitch pine planking, copper fastened to steam-bent oak frames. Straight-laid teak deck planking on plywood sub-decks. Varnished teak coach roof coamings and grabrails with sheathed top. Long keel with a cast iron ballast keel. Tiller steering to keel hung rudder.

New upholstery in the saloon and new mattresses to the forward berth in 2019.

Mechanical Systems:

Located under the doghouse sole, Perkins 4108 four cylinder 45hp diesel engine. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to fixed pitch three bladed propeller. 30 gallons fuel capacity in stainless steel tank gives approximately 200 mile range at 6 knots cruising speed. Single lever control. Comments:

Holman 48 - a beautiful flush deck cruiser designed by Kim Holman with comfortable accommodation, nice manners, easy motion and a good turn of speed. She has been continuously improved and upgraded over the last fifteen years by her experienced and knowledgeable owners and is in excellent condition. Accommodation

Four layouts are available in either two, three or four cabin arrangements to suit every taste and requirement. There are various options for the beautifully made interior joinery, but all offer a light and airy feel together with the practicality of laminate flooring in either light or dark Oak. There is LED lighting throughout the cabins with lots of stowage and a proper chart table. The galley is fully equipped and easy to use whilst underway and has plenty of work surface and storage for crockery and utensils. There's even space for wine stowage below the soleboards. There is full standing headroom everywhere with a multitude of hatches and portlights for ventiation and light. The cabin sole is all at the same level, no steps to negotiate when walking through the boat.

Fitted with a Yanmar 45hp inboard marine diesel engine, there is plenty of power for any situation and economical cruising when the wind dies.

A 12 volt high capacity battery bank comes as standard, together with a full 240 volt shore power system. A 40 amp battery charger is fitted and of course there is an immersion heater for the hot water system.

Located under cockpit sole. Volvo Penta KAD44EDL, 266hp marine diesel engine. Year 2000. Six cylinders. Turbo/supercharged. Fresh water cooled. Sterndrive to stainless steel duoprops. Single lever electronic throttle. 400 litre fuel capacity. Approx 25 knots cruising and 34 knots maximum speed (loading and fouling dependant).

The engine has logged only 495 hours from new. In year 2020 the engine was removed from the boat - the top and bottom of the drive leg plus the engine flywheel and bell housing were refurbished and all pulleys, belts and steering cables were replaced. In September 2023 the leg was fully professionally serviced including new bellows. Owner engine service April 2023.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to five berths and there is full standing headroom and excellent stowage throughout. In the forecabin there are two singles with stowage under. Opening hatch to foredeck. Good sized heads compartment to starboard with a Lavac marine toilet, washbasin & shower. Good sized hanging locker opposite.

Moving aft in to the saloon, there is a single settee berth to port with a trotter box. Fixed table with drop leaves to centre and a L shaped settee berth to starboard that converts into a double. The chart table in the starboard aft quarter instruments and control panel. The galley is opposite to port with a Taylors 043 two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Coolbox. Owners Comments

This is not your stock Halmatic 30 and it?s not just the quality of the fittings or the many hours spent considering and sourcing the best options during her build. She?s had two owners, both Engineers (the latter a Naval Architect) and has been Part 1 registered from new. What makes her unique is that in spite of being built to original plans (supplied) her fit out required that all panels be removable to provide 100% access to all systems and areas. As someone who has inspected over 400 boats for CE compliance I can tell you the difference between a quality build and a fly by night is attention to detail in making all systems easily accessible, a concept which many supposed high end builders have still to fully implement. But I digress?

Moulded as one of the last H30 in 1988, the superior fit out was by the first owner and his cousin, a master shop fitter. Other than the main bulkheads, supplied as standard, the rest of the interior wood came from stock held back from 1955 when an early 20C bank building was stripped. Due to the care taken, though appearing as a standard H30 layout the quality of materials and workmanship is without doubt superior to factory.

Unique to this boat are the custom made Gebo (NL) fixed windows which have modern radius, rather than old fashioned mitre corners and are of superior quality too. The portlights are Lewmar (old standard) with new acrylics and the main hatch is a Canpa Lowline composite model with new acrylic and seal (the owner is also part owner of Eagle Boat Windows). The smaller saloon hatch is another Gebo unit.

The entire rig (mast, boom, vang, pole, standing/running rigging, fully battened main, genoa and furlex) was replaced in 2012 with Atlantic/Selden spars and sails from Dart Sails of Dartmouth. At the same time a new Furuno commercial grade plotter, radar and AIS receiver was installed to complement the existing older (but fully functioning) GPS, speed/depth instruments and Raymarine auto/tiller pilot. The Furuno systems can also be connected to a laptop or similar. The cost of these updates in 2012 exceeded PS19,000.

In 2015 her bottom was coppercoated (PS3,500) and this has received a number of updates since. Also, at this time a Bruntons 3 blade folding prop was fitted (PS1,500).

She has two spinnakers, original, but in excellent condition. One is a symmetrical kite, the other a cruising shute, both of which can be used with the sock which has a moulded GRP mouth to ensure easy and reliable use. There is also a storm jib (unused) which sets on a removable inner forestay.

The battened main utilises harken rollers to ensure easy hoisting and control and the sail has three slab reefing lines led to the mast winch.

The engine is the original Volvo Penta 2002 which has been serviced by the Engineer owners annually from new. This has indirect (FW) cooling which has recently been removed, cleaned/checked and refitted with all new seals.

Fitted from new with pressurised hot water, the original calorifier had rotted by the last change of ownership and been removed. This has been replaced with a stainless steel unit (AC and engine heating) along with a new FW pump (Jabsco). Additionally a cockpit shower is fitted which is particularly useful for a post-swim washdown. The heads features a deep basin (to aid hair washing) and shower attachment (there is a separate shower drain pump). The galley also has pumped hot/cold water as well as a hand FW pump. The galley sink drains via a foot pump (to avoid downflooding risk when heeled ? the heads sink drain has an easily accessible valve to be closed when heeled).

The current owner has also installed AC systems using BlueSea (US) panels and Cobra tinned cables (the best) with breakers for shore power, the calorifier, a new Cetek M200 charger and numerous 240v AC plug sockets c/w USB ports.

Main house batteries (2) were replaced with superior Rolls S12-128 AGM units a couple of years ago. The engine battery is now five years old but holds good charge and can be linked in parallel with the house units if necessary.

There is a standard (H30) insulated cold box, but also a small 12v fridge unit. AC wiring has also been fitted should a new owner wish to install a 240v refrigeration unit within the cold box.

The cooker is a Taylor 043 gas unit with twin rings and an oven, plus a toasting grill. There is also a US made gas BBQ which is cockpit mounted in a rod holder and connects directly to the locker gas supply.

There are five berths (standard). To starboard in the saloon the table drops to form a double. In the bow there are two single berths, but an infill structure (removeable) would allow this to be used as a double (only the infill cushion is required to complete). There is dry storage under all berths.

The electric bilge pump (under engine) is supplemented by a large capacity manual gusher pump mounted in the aft cockpit locker.

Washboards (GREY tinted Acrylic with SS vent) are new for 2024.

She also has beaching legs (which I have fitted on hard standing but never used in earnest, they seem very sturdy.

In my capacity at Eagle Boat Windows I often get contacted by people looking to buy a yacht and my advice is always the same ? ?buy the best you can?. Buy a sorted yacht, rather than a project that you will spend much time and money on and still not be happy with. You may think this yacht expensive for a H30 and she is, but PS15k will disappear in a flash on a project?. When I first saw LB (as we call her) I knew she was a peach, the best she could be, built with love, care and incredible attention to detail. The surveyor agreed and struggled to find fault, eventually settling on needing an updated gas regulator. That?s how good she was.

Are there things to do. Some I guess, more wants than needs. The Afromosia cockpit locker lids would look better with teak and I would be minded to have a cockpit grating under foot. The air heater (Eberspacher) hasn?t been used for a while and probably needs recommissioning. Otherwise I?m seriously finding it difficult to suggest work for a prospect buyer. I just hope they actually use her more than I have found time to?.

Accommodation

'Wave of Maldon' is fitted out to a high standard and her layout offers six berths with two luxurious sleeping cabins away from the main accommodation. Headroom throughout is excellent with 6'7" or more in all cabins and the saloon, it would also be easy to modify her seating to offer further berths in the wheelhouse saloon if required.

FORWARD CABIN: Twin V-berth (generous 208 x 90cm with slight taper to forward end) with storage beneath, hanging locker, radiator and portlights. A full-size washing machine and tumble dryer are concealed forward and are currently arranged with a small child's pipe cot above but this area is also useful for additional storage. Access to en suite heads compartment.

FORWARD HEADS: Spacious heads compartment to starboard with freshwater gravity flush toilet to holding tank (with deck or overboard discharge), separate shower enclosure, washbasin with mixer tap, vanity unit, storage and radiator.

GALLEY: L-shaped galley with generous work surfaces, equipped with a ceramic four ring electric hob (new 2015) and extractor fan, Bosch combination 900w microwave, grill and 1500w fan assisted oven, Electrolux 166 litre Class A fridge/freezer (new 2013), sink, ample worktop and stowage space, space with plumbing for a full size dishwasher and a base unit heater (from the central heating but with a fan to aid circulation). All equipment can be powered by shorepower or generator to allow cooking whilst passage making without the safety concerns of gas or the need to change bottles. Below sink reverse osmosis water filter system for drinking water (new 2023).

DINETTE - Opposite of the galley is a good-sized dinette providing seating for four to six people which converts to form another double berth. Additional storage is provided beneath the seats and on bookshelves outboard. Access to the impressive engine bay is via a watertight door concealed by the lifting steps up to the saloon.

WHEELHOUSE SALOON: The saloon has excellent natural light and ventilation creating a very comfortable area to relax or entertain in. All windows are tinted and except for the two opening windows are double glazed. Fully equipped internal helm position forward to port with a helmsman's seat, instrumentation, full suite of navigation equipment and generator control panel. An entertainment unit to starboard with full-size chart table conceals a hidden electrically raised 32" LCD TV, entertainment system in cupboard linked to the fitted ceiling speaker system and a second LEC 45 litre fridge (new 2016). L-shaped settee to starboard with storage beneath, a free standing Stressless leather reclining chair and a folding (stowable) teak table offer comfortable seating for six to eight. Excellent storage is provided beneath the seating and in large lockers outboard beneath the deck. The suedette upholstery and complimenting carpets are in excellent condition and were all renewed in 2016. Steps up to aft deck fore and aft down to galley and aft cabin.

OWNER'S AFT CABIN: The impressive full-width cabin has a large (200cm x 140cm) island double berth with custom made luxury mattress, beneath berth stowage, two bedside cabinets, hanging and clothes lockers, bench seat, further stowage, reading lights, four opening portlights, radiator and access to en suite heads. 42" TV connecting to the internet via router (requires SIM card).

AFT HEADS: A larger than usual en suite heads compartment is fitted with a 5ft long bath with shower above, fresh water gravity flush toilet to holding tank (with deck or overboard discharge), vanity unit with hand basin, cupboards, mirror and opening portlight.

GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Kabola B17 diesel fired boiler system with radiators throughout. Pressurised hot and cold water system (new pump and capacitor tank 2016) from two 700 litre water tanks giving a 1400 litre total capacity. Large calorifier with 1kw immersion coil (new 2011). Blackwater 700 litre holding tank linked to both heads with Rheinstroom macerator pump for overboard discharge and deck outlet. Greywater tank with 80 litre capacity and membrane pump (new 2016). Suedette upholstery in saloon and at dinette (new 2016) with complimenting curtains. High-quality teak interior fit-out with excellent stowage provision and plenty of practical grabrails and panelled ceilings. The hull sides and ceilings have been insulated for improved heat insulation and soundproofed saloon floor panels fitted to reduce noise when underway.

EXTERNAL SPACE: The raised aft cockpit has a helm position to starboard with two person bench helm seat with storage below, navigation equipment and a large open aft deck offering excellent space for alfresco dining and entertaining. Bridge area cockpit enclosure (new 2011) which can be used as a bimini and is designed to allow easy access fore and aft. Wide side decks with good steps, high bulwarks and heavy duty stainless steel guard rails with side gates make deck work a pleasure. Transom mounted stainless steel davits for dinghy stowage which swivel to reduce length when not in use.

Mechanical Systems

Located in a spacious and well-lit engine room with watertight bulkheads fore and aft, accessed via reduced height walkway beneath forward passageway steps, Perkins Sabre 225TI six-cylinder 225hp diesel engine. New starter batteries fitted 2021 charged underway via 150 amp 24 volt dedicated alternator with split charge relay to charge bow thruster/anchor winch battery bank. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger with twin seawater intake filters (all seacocks and pipework renewed 2017). Single lever controls and hydraulic wheel steering at both helms. Twin 1000 litre fuel tanks (tanks cleaned and fuel polished in 2023) with balance system and twin Separ water separators/fuel filters. Shaft drive (60mm shaft new 2015 inc. thrust bearing) via PRM 2.88:1 reduction gearbox through a Dintra flexible coupling (new 2015) and oil filled sterntube to 5-bladed bronze propeller. Spurs rope cutter fitted 2023.

Electric 8hp bow thruster (rebuilt 2017) with controls at both helms both new 2021. Bow thruster and anchor winch have separate battery bank (new 2021) charged via dedicated Whisper Power battery charger/engine alternator via split charger.

The current owner has kept the mechanical systems to a superb standard with a regular schedule of preventative maintenance and the engine has proved very reliable during their fifteen years of ownership. Current engine hours are approx. 5820 hrs and they have found that when cruising at around 7kts (approx. 1400 rpm) the fuel consumption is approximately one litre per nautical mile, offering an impressive cruising range and very low fuel costs for a boat of this size. The compartment offers excellent access to all systems together with plenty of storage areas for tools and other items.

Construction

Flevo 1495 Spiegelkotter designed by Martin Bekebrede (responsible for many other highly regarded designs including the Noordkaper range, Vri-Jon OK and Steeler NG) and built by Flevo Jachtbouw of Nikerk, Netherlands in 1996 over a period of 18 months and first commissioned in 1998. Green steel displacement round bilge hull (topsides professionally resprayed with Awlgrip paint in 2005, bottom sandblasted and coated with Jotun epoxy in 2011) with long keel profile protecting propeller and stabilising bilge keels to reduce roll (professionally fitted in 2010). Cream steel superstructure and decks professionally resprayed with Awlgrip paint in 2015. Reantifouled and new anodes 2023. Dual station hydraulic wheel steering. Her air draft is a very useful 3.5m (11'6") with the mast lowered allowing access to much of the French canal system, and 10.5m (34'5") with the mast up.

Owners Comments

We have had the pleasure of owning 'Wave' for fifteen years and spent the summers mostly cruising the Baltic/Norwegian coastal areas, including visiting the Lofoten Islands and northern parts of Norway. Her first owner was a Dutch ship owner and when we were looking for a long term cruising boat the quality of construction, fit-out and engineering really stood out above anything else we saw. She is very well insulated so is a most comfortable and spacious boat to live on year round, she is always warm and dry, we have never needed to use a dehumidifier even in cold, damp conditions. We have maintained her to the highest standards both cosmetically and mechanically - essential when cruising in the more remote parts of Scandinavian waters. She has been stored ashore in heated halls for most of the last fifteen winters, and all of the four winters since last repainted.

Accommodation

From forward: Choice of Teak or White Oak woodwork.

Sail locker that can be specified as a skipper cabin with deck access.

The owner suite starts at the main bulkhead and has a large double berth to port plus sofa and desk to starboard. Drawers under sofa and bed and large hanging locker. Forward of this cabin is the full width en-suite heads compartment with electric marine toilet, basin and separate shower cubicle. Full hot and cold pressurised fresh water system with 380l tank.

Twin doors from this cabin to the galley on the starboard side with a dinette to port. The galley is huge and has features like a central island, Corian worktops, domestic size fridge/freezer, two burner gas cooker with oven, extractor fan and masses of stowage. Opposite to port is an L shaped settee with twin tables converting to one large table.

Up stairs to the forward cockpit. This area is protected by either a sprayhood, fixed screen with sprayhood or a hart top. Navigation seat to port with autopilot control. Settee to starboard.

'Meelick Bay' is an imposing vessel with real "small ship" looks and her layout offers four berths across two cabins away from the main accommodation.

FORWARD CABIN: Twin V-berth with fitted sprung mattresses, storage beneath, shelf stowage, radiator and portlights. Access to anchor chain locker. Access to en suite heads compartment.

FORWARD HEADS: Spacious heads compartment to starboard with Jabsco freshwater gravity flush toilet to holding tank, washbasin with mixer tap, vanity unit and extractor fan.

GALLEY: L-shaped galley with generous Minerva work surfaces, equipped with a Neff Flex Induction electric hob and Neff pyrolytic multi function oven with microwave (both new 2015). Penguin Vitifigo 130 litre Class A fridge with icebox (new 2013). Sink with mixer tap and Quooker boiling water tap, ample worktop and stowage space. All equipment can be powered by 240V inverter to allow cooking whilst passage making without the safety concerns of gas or the need to change bottles.

DINETTE - Opposite the galley on the port side is a good-sized dinette providing seating for four people which converts to form another double berth. Additional storage is provided beneath the seats and on bookshelves outboard with a separate freezer locker under the aft seat. Radiator. Access to the impressive engine bay is via a watertight door. On the aft bulkhead of the dinette is the electrical control panel giving easy access to Inverter control, shore supply, genset start, central heating control plus solar panel and battery monitoring.

WHEELHOUSE SALOON: The saloon has excellent natural light and ventilation creating a very comfortable area to relax or entertain in. All windows are tinted and except for the two opening windows are double glazed. Fully equipped internal helm position forward to port with a Kab 411 helmsman's seat, instrumentation, full suite of navigation equipment and engine control panel. Full-size chart table with two drawers and stereo. L-shaped settee to starboard with storage beneath. Port side bar unit with plenty of stowage for glasses etc. Excellent storage is provided beneath the seating and in large lockers outboard beneath the deck. Radiator. OWNER'S AFT CABIN: The impressive full-width cabin has a large (200cm x 140cm) island double berth with custom made luxury mattress, beneath berth stowage, two bedside cabinets, hanging and clothes lockers, further stowage, reading lights, radiator and access to en-suite heads.

AFT HEADS: To port is the heads compartment, which comprises of an electric fresh water flush toilet with holding tank (with deck or overboard discharge), vanity unit with hand basin, cupboards, mirror and opening portlight.

Opposite to starboard there is the separate compartment with shower plus bench seat with storage underneath.

GENERAL EQUIPMENT: MX50 diesel fired boiler system with radiators throughout. Pressurised hot and cold water system (new pump and capacitor tank 2016) from two 700 litre water tanks giving a 1400 litre total capacity. Large calorifier with 1kw immersion coil (new 2011). Blackwater 250 litre holding tank linked to both heads with overboard and deck outlet. Grey water tank with 120 litre capacity used for heads fresh water flushing. Fabric upholstery in saloon and dinette (new 2016) with complimenting curtains. High-quality teak interior fit-out with excellent stowage provision and plenty of practical grabrails and panelled ceilings. EXTERNAL SPACE: The upper helm position with two person bench helm seat with storage below, navigation equipment and a large open aft deck offering excellent space for alfresco dining and entertaining. White steel coachroof and decks with painted non skid surface. 3.2m air draft with mast lowered (7.6m with it raised). Designed to be able to go to all European canals.

This is a fin keel Westerly Fulmar 32. She has been in her present ownership since 2008. Last surveyed for insurance in 2022. Well worth inspecting if you want a good performing, blue water cruiser that has been updated during her present ownership.

The hull was epoxied below the waterline 1994 as a preventative measure.

FORECABIN - Fitted with twin single berths, hanging and storage lockers, drawers, portlights with curtains, an opening hatch to the foredeck, and en suite access to the heads compartment.

SIDE CABIN - Located to port and fitted with twin single berths (one with hard leeboard for passage making or contained storage), this cabin could also easily be adapted for use as a walk-in dressing room, office, or hobby area if required.

HEADS - Located to starboard with a marine toilet, washbasin, separate shower area, heated towel rail, opening portlights, and plenty of useful storage.

FORWARD PASSAGEWAY - Steps lead up to the saloon, and secondary access access is provided to the engine compartment via a watertight door.

SALOON - The light and spacious saloon consists of a large seating area to port with twin bespoke adjustable tables (the large original table is included and stows behind the seating) ahead of a large chart area, with a large sideboard providing useful storage to starboard aft of the well-equipped helm position. Drinks fridge under helm seat. Doors to the starboard side and aft decks allow easy access and communication with crew, and entertainment is provided by a flatscreen TV with Sky TV and DVD player.

AFT PASSAGEWAY - Steps lead down to the galley and aft cabin, with lifting steps providing the main access via a watertight door into the engine compartment.

GALLEY - The generous galley is fully electric for increased convenience and safety and is equipped with a Smeg electric oven and grill, Smeg ceramic 4 burner electric hob, extractor fan, Smeg microwave, twin stainless steel sinks, Waeco large fridge/freezer (new 2018), concealed washing machine (new 2019), and ample storage in a range of drawers and cupboards.

OWNER'S AFT CABIN - The aft passageway leads into a spacious and beautifully appointed aft cabin, with a kingsize island berth, dressing table, full-height wardrobes, a wealth of other storage cupboards and drawers, and access to the en suite.

EN SUITE - Located to port and fitted with an electric marine toilet, washbasin, separate shower area over a compact bath, heated towel rail, mirror, and storage cupboards.

ENGINE ROOM - The easily accessed and well-illuminated engine compartment provides excellent access to all systems, has an automatic fire fighting system, and ample room to maintain and service the engines, generator, watermaker, hydraulic and airconditioning systems.

GENERAL EQUIPMENT - The interior is finished with high-quality teak cabinetry and floors, fitted carpets, curtains, and premium quality cotton upholstery, and is in very good condition throughout. There is a pressurised hot and cold water system via a 75L calorifier with immersion coil, Aquafresh watermaker (serviced and laid up), main water softener (at inlet), water purification system (at galley) and a 170L holding tank for the en suite with a monitoring system and Y-valve for deck or overboard discharge. Reverse cycle Marine Air airconditioning systems for the aft cabin, saloon, and forward cabins provide both heating and cooling to ensure comfort aboard in all climates.

EXTERIOR: The Trader 535 Signature offers fantastic external space with a very large covered aft deck with a fixed L-shaped seating area (which also provides good deck storage) and adjustable table, ample room for more removable deck chairs and loungers whilst moored, whilst the upper flybridge area provides excellent all-round visibility and more seating and sunbathing space. Easy access is provided to the wide, safe decks, with deep gunnels and all-around rails which lead to the foredeck ideal for sunbathing, and aft to the large bathing platform which is fitted with a hydraulic passerelle/dinghy crane, making her a very practical and versatile long-distance cruiser!

Located under saloon sole in a sound-insulated compartment accessed via watertight doors at either end (with additional access for major works also possible via large lift-out floor panels), 2 x Caterpillar 3126B 450hp 6-cylinder turbo diesel engines. Freshwater cooled via heat exchangers. Dual-lever Kobelt 2902 controls with electric start at both helms. Twin station hydraulic wheel steering. Twin Caterpillar engine monitoring system with digital displays at both helms including rev counter, oil pressure, exhaust manifold and coolant temperature monitoring. Additional fuel tank providing a 2610L total fuel capacity. Twin shaft drives with reduction gearboxes powering 3-bladed propellers. Bennett adjustable trim tabs. Hydraulic bow and stern thrusters.

The engines appear to be in very good cosmetic condition and were serviced in February 2024 ready for the coming season. They have run for around 2600hrs since new (may increase gradually as still in occasional use), equating to optimal usage of around 120hrs per season, and have been regularly serviced by Caterpillar specialist engineers. Her owner has found that she is very frugal at displacement speeds, usually cruising at around 10-11kts at 1500-1600rpm consuming approx. 12L per hour per engine. This is ideal for longer passages, whilst still having plenty of power to get out of the way of bad weather (or arrive on time for lunch!) when required.

Construction

Trader 535 Signature built in 2001 by Trader Motoryachts with a custom interior layout to her owner's specification. White semi-displacement GRP hull with blue Awlgrip styling stripe, superstructure, and teak-laid decks. Hydraulic steering to twin rudders. Teak-laid aft deck with GRP hardtop and fabric enclosure with storage system. Flybridge with ample space for entertaining. Wide, safe decks and large foredeck sunbathing area. Integrated bathing platform with moulded steps up to aft deck.

Whilst preparations were being made in Spring for the 2023 season it was noted that there were a number of blisters beneath the waterline. Her owner had this investigated by a surveyor who confirmed that, whilst moisture levels were still only just at the level where osmotic action might start to be likely, she has the early stages of this. It was decided that due to these levels and the relatively small size of the blisters the best action to take was to open up and clean the ones large enough to warrant attention, allow her to dry ashore for an extended period, and locally epoxy these areas before antifouling and relaunching. This was done and she was relaunched in late June, at this stage it is considered unlikely that a buyer will want to carry out a more involved treatment at this stage, but if she is to remain afloat for extended periods without winter lay up it is likely that this will become more likely.

Accommodation

Two or three cabin layout with one or two heads are all avbailable.

The fit out has one floor level with no door sills, leather wrapped hand rails, LED lighting and both double berths are completely rectangular. Cream upholstery in the saloon plus upholstered main bulkheads, blinds and screens for windows and hatches.

There is a good size chart table at the navigation station. This has all the electrical panels, including Navicolour supervision system plus laptop and gear storage.

The L shaped galley has double stainless steel sinks, gas cooker with grill and oven, and a large 160 litre fridge. Corian worktops. Waste bin and cutlery drawer. Very wide additional galley drawer under the port saloon berth end. Wine bottle stowage under the saloon sole.

The heads compartment has a marine toilet with holding tank and a sink plus plenty of storage. Hot and cold pressurised fresh water system. There is a dedicated shower compartment entirely separate from the heads compartment with a locker and removable oilskin hanging bar plus access door to the huge cockpit locker.

Saloon has the large folding Deluxe table with double berth conversion and settee berth to starboard with a fixed arm rest.

The aft cabin(s) have a large double berth (2.00m x 1.82m) and fully retractable access door for more space. Workshop/cockpit locker on the port side on the single cabin layout.

The forward cabin has an offset rectangular double berth (2.00m x 1.35m). Two large hull ports plus two excellent hanging lockers with shelving.

Four large hull ports, many opening ports (including 3 in the aft cabin) and flush deck hatches. 12V USB plugs in cabins. Indirect lighting, lamps on bulkheads, RA70N fusion player (radio/USB/Bluetooth) with saloon and cockpit speakers, upholstered bulkheads, shades and blinds for windows and ports, under floor wine storage, clock and barometer, extra porthole in aft cabin.

Spars & Sails

Fractional double spreader rig by Selden, deck stepped. Boom with lowered gooseneck for additional sail area and ease of packing the sail away and putting the halyard on the head. Rod kicker. Harken self tailing primary and secondary winches. All sheets led aft to the helm positions with a German mainsheet system. Lazyjacks. Y bridle mainsheet system. Adjustable sheet friction rings. Southerly 46RS built in 2006 by Northshore Yachts to a design by Jason Kerr. White GRP hull with black antifouling. White GRP superstructure with teak laid decks, cockpit floor and seats. Cast-iron grounding plate ties into a web of frames and longitudinal stringers to create a strong and light structure that supports the keel. Southerly Swing Keel cast iron centreplate with stainless steel pivot at leading edge. The Swing Keel is raised and lowered by a hydraulic ram powered by an electrically driven pump with a hand-operated back-up. Underwater hull epoxied from new and again in 2023. Twin wheel steering to two semi-balanced rudders. Aft self-draining cockpit.

Although the wheelhouse and cabin are currently quite basic it would be very easy for these to be adapted to suit her next owner's needs.

Mechanical Systems

Located in engine box in cockpit, Lister Petter commercial specification Alpha LPW4, 39.5hp, four cylinder naturally aspirated marine diesel engine. Sea water cooled. Shaft drive via gearbox to bronze three blade propeller. Single lever controls with electric start. Instrument panel with engine instrumentation. Serviced July 2023.

The engine was new in 2002 and has been maintained to a regular service schedule by her experienced commercial operator. It has proved faultlessly reliable and is believed to be in very good running order. This model is also known for it's durability, being a popular choice for many commercial users and canal boat operators. Current engine hours are unknown but believed to be in the region of 6,800hrs. It is also very economical, burning approximately 3.5 litres per hour whilst cruising at 6-7kts

Construction

The Hull was built by Cygnus Marine Limited in 1992 as a part completed kit. Owner fitted her out and first launched her in 1998. GRP hull with painted grey topsides. Copper coated below the waterline. Cream GRP deck and coachroof with moulded non-slip. Encapsulated long keel. Tiller steering to a transom hung rudder.

Accommodation

The accommodation is traditionally laid out with up to six berths in two cabins. The layout works well at sea with a wealth of sensible features for seagoing comfort, standing headroom and plentiful stowage throughout. In the forecabin, V berth with infill and stowage under. The berth can be used in either fore 'n aft or athwartships configuration providing two secure singles on passage or a comfy double at anchor. Sliding doors open to reveal the forepeak which offers a large stowage space for sails, chain, outboards and other sundry cruising gear. Opening hatch to deck. Separate heads compartment to port with marine WC, shower and washbasin. Holding tank. Interestingly, the washbasin is made of monel and comes from a WWII ship. There is a hanging locker opposite the heads. In the saloon, dinette to port with settee berth opposite. The dinette will convert to a double and there is also a secure pilot berth to starboard. Saloon table with one drop leaf and one removable leaf. Brass ship's bell. Brass 'Trawler' lamp. Dickenson Antarctic diesel cabin heater. Kenwood radio/CD player with Bose speakers. Construction

Built in 1958 by Kok Scheepswerf in Vinkeveen, Holland to a design by Henk Tingen. Round bilge welded steel hull with steel deck and coachroof. After purchase in 1987 the boat was given a complete keel-up rebuild and refurbishment by the present owners. This included some re-plating, shotblasting and re-painting, a new engine, new sails, re-rigging, re-wiring and re-plumbing and the boat has been maintained to a high standard ever since. The hull is fully insulated. Long keel with cast iron ballast and lifting centreplate. Keel hung rudder. Wheel steering. Aft self draining cockpit. Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to five births in two cabins and is pleasantly finished with high quality teak joinery. There is standing headroom, good ventilation and ample stowage throughout. Construction

Built in 1992 by Hallberg Rassy to a design by Olle Enderlein. White GRP hull with dark blue sheer stripe. White GRP superstructure with teak laid deck and cockpit. Aft self draining cockpit. Long fin keel with encapsulated ballast. Skeg hung rudder. Tiller steering. Last surveyed in 2018. Only for sale due to the vendors advancing age.

The layout offers up to 7 berths in 2 cabins + saloon. There is full 6'5" standing headroom and good ventilation throughout.

Starting forward is the private guest stateroom which contains a large V berth, anchor locker access, hanging locker to port, and lots of storage. There is private entry to the fwd head and shower cubical. Continuing aft, the main salon has a port settee and wrap around starboard settee. Drop leaf table seats 4 to 6. Port settee converts to double berth, stb settee can be used as a single berth. There is ample storage below & behind settees with large shelves above. There is a second entry into the fwd head from main salon.

Continuing aft to starboard is the U-shaped galley with ample counter space, storage shelves, and drawers. Double ss sinks, Seaward 3322 oven and hob, a Grunert refrigerator and Moulinex microwave/grill. Opposite to port is the well-appointed nav station and communication equipment. The walk through to the owners stateroom aft has a large work counter w/ drawers outboard and provides easy access to the engine room. The master stateroom aft is light and airy with a centreline queen berth and contains an ensuite head with tub/shower.

The Yanmar 4JHE 40hp engine has 3300hrs. Engine serviced annually. A Kankazi KBW20 transmission drives a 3 bladed feathering prob.

The Catalina Morgan 43 was built in the USA. She is constructed of GRP and has an encapsulated fin keel and a skeg hung rudder. The teak and holly veneer cabin soles suffered some water damage from an open hatch. Last anti-fouled Feb 2023.

Cabo Frio has a Canadian registration and there are no outstanding mortgages or encumbrances.

Saloon: Steps lead up to the light and comfortable wheelhouse saloon which consists of a well-equipped helm position with a side door and a large L-shaped settee with a table and three additional chairs to starboard, passageway aft, and galley and main entrance to port.

Galley: The linear galley is equipped with a gas oven and separate grill, 2 gas and 2 electric hobs, extractor fan, fitted microwave, stainless steel sink, large fridge with freezer compartment, U-Line ice maker (new 2010), and storage lockers including the desirable drop-down fitted storage option.

Aft Cabin: The aft passageway leads down to a spacious aft cabin offering an offset island queen-size berth, dressing table, numerous storage and hanging lockers, and access to the separate ensuite shower and heads compartments.

Ensuite Heads and Shower Compartments: Located to port is the large aft heads compartment with a Jabsco full size marine toilet (new 2022), washbasin, and ample storage. To starboard is a separate shower compartment complete with a teak-laid bathing seat.

Engine Room: The well-laid-out engine bay provides good access to all systems, and has recently upgraded LED lighting, fire fighting system (new 2019), a camera for monitoring whilst underway, and has ample room to maintain and service the engines and generator.

General Equipment: The interior is finished with high-quality teak cabinetry, cotton upholstery, and parquet floors throughout and is in very good condition. In the saloon there are fitted blinds all-round, and the main lights have been upgraded to premium LED bulbs. There is a pressurised hot and cold water system via a large Seaward calorifier with immersion coil throughout, and a holding tank to both heads with a monitoring system. An Eberspacher Hydronic diesel-fired central heating system (new main unit 2023) has been upgraded with a new exhaust and silencer (both new 2020), and pressurised circulation system (new 2020) for improved efficiency and almost silent performance, with new or reconditioned radiators in all cabins at the same time. For extended cruising, there are also two hidden built-in safes, and bespoke linen is included to complete the impressive package.

Exterior: The Grand Banks 42 offers excellent external space thanks to a large aft deck and comfortable flybridge offering ample seating and an external dining area. Wide, safe decks, deep gunnels, ample stowage, all-around rails, mast/crane, and flat forward cabin roof ideal for sunbathing all make these a very practical and versatile choice!

Mechanical Systems

Located under wheelhouse sole, 2 x Caterpillar 3116 350hp 6-cylinder turbo diesel engines. Freshwater cooled via heat exchangers. Morse dual single lever controls with electric start at both helms. Full engine instrumentation. Twin shaft drives powering 3-bladed propellers. Hydraulic trim tabs. Sidepower bow and stern thrusters with controls at both helms and handheld remote (professionally installed in 2004).

The engines appear to be in very good cosmetic condition, had a full service in Spring 2022 including new impellers, and an oil service in April 2023. The engines have run for just over 2,300hrs since new, equating to an optimal usage of around 90hrs per season. Although no official fuel consumption figures are available her owner has found that she is surprisingly frugal at displacement speeds, but has enough power to push on if the need arises.

'Summer Star' is an excellent and highly specified example of her kind, with numerous upgrades including bow and stern thrusters, holding tanks, additional teak to forward cabin roof, and the sought-after timber-capped all-round rails. Her engines have been very well maintained during their current and previous ownerships and she is used lightly, but regularly, throughout the season.

Accommodation

Four layouts are available in either two, three or four cabin arrangements to suit every taste and requirement. There are various options for the beautifully made interior joinery, but all offer a light and airy feel together with the practicality of laminate flooring in either light or dark Oak. There is LED lighting throughout the cabins with lots of stowage and a proper chart table. The galley is fully equipped and easy to use whilst underway and has plenty of work surface and storage for crockery and utensils. There's even space for wine stowage below the soleboards. There is full standing headroom everywhere with a multitude of hatches and portlights for ventiation and light. The cabin sole is all at the same level, no steps to negotiate when walking through the boat.

Fitted with a Yanmar 57hp inboard marine diesel engine, there is plenty of power for any situation and economical cruising when the wind dies.
